Previously, the OKX Team announced to buy back OKB to burn every 3 months since May 4, 2019, based on market and operational performance, without disclosing specific rules (more details here). The last buyback and burn was conducted on December 14, 2023, when 10.53M OKB (then $628M) was sent to the buyback and burn wallet.

As for the current buyback and burn, in the past 9 hours, 539 dormant wallets sent 9.68M OKB ($631M) back to OKX for the event. Each wallet received around an average amount of 17,967 OKB 4 years ago. Their OKB value has increased by around $900K since the receipt date.
